The guided walk combines native podocarp forest, picturesque sandy beaches and rocky outcrops along 4.5 kilometres of easy walking track.

Pest-free since 1997, Ulva Island provides a habitat where rare plants and endangered birds can thrive. Enjoy the unique opportunity to spot Stewart Island robin, kakariki, saddleback, mohua (yellowhead), and, if you’re lucky, Stewart Island Brown Kiwi (tokoeka).

Each company offers a 3-4 hour guided tour, with a range of options to suit your budget. They will take care of your water taxi needs! Morning departures are usually 8:20am or 8:40am, and afternoon departures are usually 12:40pm or 1pm. All tours are subject to availability and minimum fares.
